Debating Championships 2026
Turan is the first private university in Kazakhstan. In 2020, we received the Altyn Sapa award as the best service provider.
The university has 5 faculties: Humanities and Law, Economics, Digital Technologies and Arts, Preparatory and Faculty of English-language STEM programs
Turan is the first institution in Kazakhstan to be admitted to the European Logistics Association (ELA).
We were the first in Kazakhstan to connect to the Eduroam project, which allows students and employees to use free Wi-Fi at universities in 54 countries of the world.

In Turan School Debating Championship we do NOT allow the usage of any electronic devises during the preparation time and during the debates.
However, participants are allowed to use printed materials that they prepared before the competition based on prepared motions and hints.
We implements these rules to make sure that competition is fair and our students are ready to compete internationally where similar rules will be applied.

Round 1 - This House believes that countries with large reserves of rare earth minerals (such as lithium and cobalt) should nationalize their extraction and production.
Round 3 - This House predicts that in the next decade, the developing world will become more, rather than less, democratic.
Round 4 - This House would make the sale of artworks, as well as their subsequent exhibition in museums, anonymous, i.e., without attribution to the artist.
Semifinals - Gacha games are video games (mostly mobile) where players obtain in-game items, characters, or upgrades through random lottery-like mechanics.
This House would ban people under 21 from playing gacha games.
